2/13/2026 - The Walton Park Pleasure Rink and Warming House are closed as of 2/13/2026. The Walton Park Hockey Rink and Eastside Park Hockey Rink remain open.
Due to the weather and rink conditions at the Walton Park Pleasure Rink, the Family Skate and Paint Day scheduled for 2/14/2026 has been canceled. We look forward to trying this event again next year.
Rinks are scheduled to open late December and close late February (weather permitting).

Outdoor rink closures may occur if warmer temperatures soften the ice creating unsafe skating conditions, if actual temperature reaches –10 degrees or wind chill temperature reaches –25 degrees, or if more than 3 inches of snow accumulate on the ice when maintenance crews are not available.
All Oakdale outdoor rinks are maintained, supervised rinks with heated warming houses. The City does not have rental skates available at the outdoor rinks.

No hockey sticks or pucks are allowed on the pleasure rink. Ice Scooters are available at the Walton Pleasure Rink. Scooters are great tools for inexperienced skaters learning the basics of skating.
