City-Wide Clean Up Event

The City of Oakdale will host a City-Wide Clean Up this fall for residents to conveniently dispose of furniture, electronics and hard-to-recycle items. 

WHEN: Saturday, September 20 from 9 AM to 1 PM

WHERE: Oakdale Public Works (1900 Hadley Avenue N)

EVENT DETAILS

  • This event will be open to Oakdale residents only (proof of residency required). 
  • This is for drive-up drop-off of most household items for a fee. This is NOT a curbside service.
  • Business items will not be accepted.

PAYMENT DETAILS

  • Please be prepared with payment at the gate. Cash, check (payable to “City of Oakdale”) and credit card (2.6% plus 15 cents processing fee applies) will be accepted.
  • A fee will be charged based on the size and type of load. You can bring a load of general trash and be charged by the size of your vehicle. If there are bulky items that require special handling (see items to the right), you will only be charged for those items. If you have a mixed load, you will be charged for both.

NON-ACCEPTED ITEMS

  • Hazardous household waste
  • All batteries (including car batteries)
  • Fluorescent bulbs
  • Yard waste and compost
  • Medication
  • Commercial or RV appliances
  • Gas ammonia refrigerators
  • Items larger than appliances
  • Semi-truck tires or tractor tires

The City will not accept, and reserves the right to refuse, any hazardous waste or other items that may contaminate the waste stream, that may be unsafe to handle, or that may harm the environment. Hazardous household waste can be brought to the Washington County Environmental Center.

While the City and its contractors will exercise caution when unloading items, participants assume all risk of damage to vehicles that may occur while items are being removed. By participating in the event, participants waive any claim against the City for such damages.
