Site Work Begins Monday
Work is beginning on the new Oakdale Public Works Facility. On Monday, February 12, 3M crews are expected to begin to prepare the site and mobilize equipment. Preparations include tree clearing; equipment mobilization; and installation of fencing around the site, erosion control measures, and a construction trailer.
From mid-to-late February through April, earthwork will be conducted by crews working for 3M and the City of Oakdale and in accordance to work plans approved by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. Nearby residents may notice construction and vehicle noise. Work will be completed, in accordance with City ordinances, on weekdays (Monday through Friday) between 7 AM and 7 PM, and possibly on some Saturdays 9 AM to 5 PM.
At the conclusion of this phase, 3M will donate the land to the City of Oakdale and the construction phase of the Public Works Facility project will begin.
