This newsletter is intended to provide updates on the new City of Oakdale Public Works facility. More information about the project can also be found on the New Public Works Facility webpage. 

Site Preparation

The project team continues to work with 3M and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency on cleaning up the site prior to the City starting facility project work. 3M will install groundwater monitoring wells at the site in November and December 2023. The new monitoring wells will collect groundwater information to support assessment and cleanup plans. While preparing for the well installation, you may notice some clearing of brush or small trees at the site. During the well installation, you may notice construction and vehicle noise; however, all work will be completed on weekdays (Monday through Friday) between 7 AM and 7 PM. We anticipate it will take a few weeks to install the wells.
