Come together for the annual Oakdale Summerfest Celebration! Time to start gearing up for the annual Summerfest Oakdale 5K! This race is for runners and walkers of all abilities. I do believe in fairies, I do! We’ll use clay, paint, glitter, and more as we sculpt our very own enchanted fairy gardens. A Washington County Youth Librarian will be visiting for a series of special preschool story times! We’ll have fun talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing together. YogaDiscovery Center
Develop a strong and flexible spine, increase comfort and mobility in your joints, and build strength and balance in a safe way in this all-levels yoga class. Classes focus on each student's own internal experience rather than achieving an external appearance. Every class will include movement and guided breathing woven together. Most classes will have an element of meditation, chanting, and guided self-exploration. Forest Therapy Walks Saturdays, June 4 or 18 | 10 AM to 12 PM | Meet at Discovery Center Firepit Forest Therapy, or “forest bathing,” is a research-based framework for supporting healing and wellness through immersion in forests and other natural environments. Studies have demonstrated a wide array of health benefits, especially in the cardiovascular and immune systems, and for stabilizing and improving mood and cognition. Experience Caponi Art ParkThursday, June 30 | 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM | Departs from Gladstone Center, 1945 Manton Street, Maplewood
Now is your chance to break the number one museum rule of “don’t touch the art.” Caponi Art Park, located in Eagan, is the setting for this unique opportunity to experience art with all of your senses. Your day will include two art workshops selected to teach you new skills while exploring the natural world. A walking tour reveals 16 of the 35 plus sculptures by Anthony Caponi, sculptor, former Macalester College art department chair, professor and park founder.
