Don't miss this unique opportunity where dozens of vehicles will be on hand for children to climb, sit in the driver's seat, touch, view up close, pose for photos, and learn about how various trucks work. MikMart Ice Cream and Candy will have a food truck available in the parking area offering a variety of tasty treats ranging from $1 to $6. Librarian Megan from the Oakdale Library will be visiting for a series of special preschool story times told while outdoors!
We’ll have fun talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing together. We will focus on concepts such as counting, colors, sharing, emotions, patterns, and the alphabet. A simple "take and make" craft will be sent home. Free.

What is Forest Therapy? Forest Therapy, or “forest bathing,” is a research-based framework for supporting healing and wellness through immersion in forests and other natural environments. Studies have demonstrated a wide array of health benefits, especially in the cardiovascular and immune systems, and for stabilizing and improving mood and cognition. Forest therapy walks are slow-paced and are leisurely guided through nature by certified forest therapy guides. Attend in-person or virtually. Spots are limited, masks can be worn (subject to applicable federal/state/local mask mandate guidelines), and please arrive early for in-person. $20 per class (50% discount for frontline workers).

Get your flu shot. The best way to protect yourself from the flu. Walgreens and Oakdale Wellness 50+ have partnered to bring a flu shot clinic to the Oakdale Discovery Center.
There is no cost to you with most insurance. Bring your insurance card and photo ID, and complete the assessment/consent form in advance to save time.
Appointments suggested. Walk-ins allowed. Please wear a mask if not fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

This free Wellness 50+ event (for ages 16+) will include: - First Aid
- Hands-Only CPR Training, including AED instructions
- Blood pressure checks available
- Learn how to help a choking person
Session will be taught by paramedics from the Oakdale Fire Department.
