Reserve a Picnic Shelter for Your Next Event

Reservations are accepted first-come, first-served. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, the guest capacity is being limited to 25 guests to promote health and safety. Park facility permits give park guests exclusive use of the shelter and must be carried with the permit holder on the day of the event.

Reserve a picnic shelter by calling 651-747-3860. Rental fees are due at the time of reservation.

Oakdale Discovery Center Reopen

The Oakdale Discovery Center is open to the public for restroom and water use during regular building hours. Masks are required indoors.

The tandem bikes are back, ready to ride, and being sanitized between uses. Scavenger hunts have returned too. The Discovery Center is also booking events at 25% capacity (30 or less guests). Make your reservation by calling 651-747-3860.

Daddy Daughter Princess Ball

Friday, December 4 (has been postponed from 9/25) | 6:30 - 8 PM | Discovery Center

Join Once Upon A Star’s, Elsa, Ariel, Belle, and Aurora for an enchanted evening with your favorite adult date. We’ll enjoy a craft, princess snack, dancing and royal fun. All “couples” will have a photo taken with next-day proof access. Register by November 27. $37 per couple.

(Adults - please bring your camera for memorable photo opportunities, including a group princess photo with your little princess!)

Activities for Adults

Yoga Classes

Yoga classes are a blend of gentle yoga poses, breathing techniques, simple chanting, and guided meditation. Modifications are offered throughout class so as to meet individual student’s abilities. No yoga experience necessary. All are welcome.
Please have a device you can use to log into Zoom, a yoga mat if you have one, a chair, a blanket, a quiet place to practice, and an open mind. Please contact Jen Brandt at jennbrandtyoga@gmail.com to register.

Yoga for Stress & Anxiety
Stress and anxiety affect your body and your mind. Gentle movement, relaxing breathing techniques, simple chanting, and soothing meditations can do wonders for bringing balance to your body and mind and help to relax your nervous system. Now more than ever, the world around us is stressful and uncertain. Regular yoga practice can help your body feel stronger and more flexible. It can also help your mind become more clear and focused. When your body and mind feel better you are much more capable of managing life’s stressors.

Class size is limited to 8 students so each person can get individual attention. Every student should schedule a complimentary 20 minute phone call with the instructor prior to the series beginning for a short intake session to address any specific goals, concerns, and questions.

Wellness 50+ Flu Shot Clinic

Thursday, September 24 | 11:30 AM – 2 PM | Discovery Center

Get your flu shot. The best way to protect yourself from the flu. Walgreens and Oakdale Wellness 50+ have partnered to bring a flu shot clinic to the Oakdale Discovery Center. Reservations are required. There is no cost to you with most insurance. Bring your insurance information and photo ID. Walgreens specially trained pharmacists know which flu shot is right for you based on your age and health history. Defend your crew against the flu. Just remember to wear your mask or face covering and we'll wear ours.
